# Introduction

The **ABB VIP Client** is a **N3uron** module that enables straightforward connectivity to **ABB** PLCs that use the Vendor Internet Protocol (VIP). **N3uron** can connect to the following **ABB** PLCs:

- AC400
- AC450
- AC500
- AC800

Some of the main features offered by this module are:

- Supports TCP and UDP.
- Client and Server configurations available.
- **Format 1** type string and unsolicited messages supported.
