Article summary

The BACnet Client module for N3uron is a powerful tool that enables seamless connectivity to BACnet-compatible devices, providing real-time data monitoring and control capabilities. This module permits integration of these devices with a wide range of software applications, including building and energy management systems, SCADA, as well as enterprise business intelligence solutions or cloud services through any of the Data Delivery modules implemented within the N3uron platform, such as MQTTOPC UA ServerSparkplugREST API ServerNotifier, etc.

In addition, N3uron lets create comprehensive BMS and Energy Management applications by combining BACnet Client with various other modules like Web VisionHistorianDLMS ClientModbus Client, and more.

The module implements BACnet/IP over UDP. Any access to devices on other network media types (MSTP, ARCNET, etc..) must be done through a gateway/router device.

Some of the main functionalities supported by the module include:

  • Unlimited connections
  • Automatic Device Discovery
  • Automatic Tag Browsing through device interrogation
  • Drag and Drop from the Browser to the data model
    Note:
This feature is available from N3uron version 1.21.5.
