# Introduction

The [**BACnet Client**](https://n3uron.com/iiot-platform-modules/bacnet-client/) module for **N3uron** is a powerful tool that enables seamless connectivity to BACnet-compatible devices, providing real-time data monitoring and control capabilities. This module permits integration of these devices with a wide range of software applications, including building and energy management systems, SCADA, as well as enterprise business intelligence solutions or cloud services through any of the **Data Delivery** modules implemented within the N3uron platform, such as [MQTT](https://docs.n3uron.com/v122/docs/mqtt-client-introduction), [OPC UA Server](https://docs.n3uron.com/v122/docs/opc-ua-server-introduction), [Sparkplug](https://docs.n3uron.com/v122/docs/sparkplug-client-introduction), [REST API Server](https://docs.n3uron.com/v122/docs/rest-api-server-introduction), [Notifier](https://docs.n3uron.com/v122/docs/notifier-introduction), etc.

In addition, N3uron lets create comprehensive BMS and Energy Management applications by combining **BACnet Client** with various other modules like [Web Vision](https://docs.n3uron.com/v122/docs/web-vision-introduction), [Historian](https://docs.n3uron.com/v122/docs/historian-introduction), [DLMS Client](https://docs.n3uron.com/v122/docs/dlms-client-introduction), [Modbus Client](https://docs.n3uron.com/v122/docs/modbus-client-introduction), and more.

The module implements BACnet/IP over UDP. Any access to devices on other network media types (MSTP, ARCNET, etc..) must be done through a gateway/router device.
