# Introduction

> [!WARNING]
> Note:

> This module is available from **N3uron**version **1.22.0**.

**EtherNet/IP Client** is a **N3uron**module that provides a simple, reliable way to connect N3uron to devices that communicate using the EtherNet/IP protocol (CIP over TCP/IP). EtherNet/IP Client is easy to set up, configure, and manage. Users only need to configure a small set of parameters to establish communication with the device and start real-time data exchange with the N3uron node. This data can then be made available to other systems through any of the **Data Delivery** modules implemented within the N3uron platform, such as [MQTT Client](/v122/docs/mqtt), [OPC UA Server](/v122/docs/opc-ua-server), [Modbus Server](/v122/docs/modbus-server), [DNP Server](/v122/docs/dnp-server), [Sparkplug Client](/v122/docs/sparkplug-client), [REST API Server](/v122/docs/rest-api-server), etc.

### Key Features

The EtherNet/IP Client module includes the following capabilities:

- **Integrated Browser with Drag-and-Drop**: The module provides an integrated browser with drag-and-drop functionality, allowing users to easily explore the EtherNet/IP server or adapter address space and seamlessly incorporate tags into the N3uron data model.
- **Unlimited tags and devices.**
- **Flexible Tag Configuration**: Manually create tags or use the Browser within the tag configuration for automatic setup.
- **Performance Optimization**: Configure Array block size to optimize performance by reducing the number of individual read operations.

### Supported PLC types

- **ControlLogix:** ControlLogix-class PLCs (including CompactLogix).
- **PLC‑5:** Allen-Bradley PLC-5 series.
- **SLC 500**: Allen-Bradley SLC 500 series.
- **ControlLogix PCCC (legacy)**: ControlLogix-class PLC using PCCC protocol.
- **Micro800**: Allen-Bradley Micro800 series.
- **MicroLogix**: Allen-Bradley MicroLogix series.
- **Omron NJ/NX**: Omron NJ/NX series PLCs.
