# Introduction

**SMA Client** is a **N3uron** module that allows users to quickly and easily establish connections to SMA devices, such as inverters and Junction Boxes, in order to retrieve data.

**SMA Client** provides reliable connections to any SMA device that supports **SMA Net**or **SunnyNet******protocols****via serial, TCP or UDP connections.

Numerous variables, corresponding to both **SMA Net** and **SunnyNet** protocols, can be assigned to **Tags within** **N3uron** in order to access multiple device parameters, as well as to monitor data coming from plant devices.
